An Introduction to Virtual Light Lab An Introduction to Virtual Light Lab V 2.0 Virtual Light Lab allows the student to experiment with light, shadow, and color in a computer simulated light lab. First select a subject ( Figure, Face, Sphere, Shapes, or Clear stage) and backdrop ( Black surround, White cyc, Blue cyc, Color patches or Custom drop).
Then hang the instruments on the lighting grid, select a color, and adjust the intensity. A few at the bottom of this page show what can be done with two lights, a three color cyc, a box full of gel and a 'breakup' gobo.
